Black Locust Necks
Black Locust is a highly resonant guitar wood. This species has long been overlooked as luthier tonewood. It measures 1700 hardness on the Janka Scale, hard enough to use for fingerboards. It possesses great stiffness and takes a nice finish, though somewhat plain in appearance, Black Locust can be "ebonized" to a black color by applying an iron/vinegar solution.
